Some people know me as the Chocolate Painter.
I'm a classically trained realist painter that serendipitously stumbled into the world of chocolate after graduating from college in 2014. I began working at a chocolate boutique and it was there I discovered the potential of chocolate as an art form. I started painting on the backs of chocolate bars with artisanal cocoa butter. (It is a food safe colorant, derived from the cocao bean, that most chocolatiers use to create designs on their chocolates.) I became a Chocolatier Apprentice, studying under a Master Chocolatier who taught me the traditional way of hand tempering chocolate on a marble slab. I combine my love for chocolate and my art background to create these mouth-watering works of art. Most notably, I had the pleasure of working with the Currier Museum of Art for the NH Magazine's Bride Spring Edition, to create a dessert piece of Edmund Tarbell's "Mercie Cutting Flowers" on an edible chocolate mosaic. I currently work with La Cascade du Chocolat, in Exeter, N.H.
